Accessibility

Accessibility means access to information without any limitation due to impairment or disability. Many people reach the information on our pages from contexts very different from ours: they may have hearing, sight or mobility problems; they may have difficulty reading or understanding; they may be unable to use a keyboard or mouse; or they may have a text-only reader, a small screen or a slow connection.

Accessibility is not only of interest to people with disabilities; it improves access to the web in general. To this end, our accessibility guidelines are as follows:

The Ecostudi website aims to meet at least level AA and part of level AAA of the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for most of its content, as well as the Spanish standard UNE 139803:2004 by AENOR. Below are some aids that may be of interest:

Text size: you can change the default text size. Often the easiest way is to hold down the «Ctrl» key while turning the mouse wheel or, if your mouse has no wheel, by using the «+» or «-» keys.

Accessible PDF: we recommend downloading the latest version of Adobe Acrobat to view Adobe PDF files. It allows reading Adobe PDF files aloud using the standard operating system's text-to-speech function, gives more control when using screen readers, and lets you check the accessibility of an Adobe PDF file.

Other aids: the content and features of the website can be accessed by keyboard for people who do not use a mouse. This website uses style sheets (CSS) to control its layout and colours, so users with their own style sheets can still enjoy the content. The pages also work for users who have JavaScript disabled in their browser. To help us improve the accessibility and usability of this website, please write to us and let us know what you think using our contact form.
